If you’re not one to cook but you need to bring something for Thanksgiving you can’t go wrong with these five local brews.
Neon Neon by Dry County Brewing – Neon Neon is an interesting take on a Berliner Weisse with blackberry and raspberry undertones. On first sip, you’d think you were drinking a nice Rosé with a bit of bubble. This sour though, is a pretty easy drinking beer that adds a bit of festivity to any occasion. Its got a nice ruby color and good finish to it as well. Plus, the blackberry and raspberry flavors will complement the cranberry sauce (do you prefer jelly or homemade?)
Cadence by Reformation Brewing – Cadence is a Belgian-Style Dubbel with a deep fruit aroma with hints of caramel, figs, and Belgian candi sugar that brings a hint of warmth with it. It pairs well with turkey dinner and would be a welcome addition to any table.
Moonlight Drive by Southbound Brewing Company – I put Moonlight Drive here for those who want something a little darker. This one has a good hint of coffee to it and would make an excellent after dinner beer instead of a cup of coffee while you’re enjoying a slice of pie or even a leftover turkey and dressing sandwich. Either way, the notes of chocolate, caramel, roast, and of course coffee will help round out your Thanksgiving dinner and at almost 9%, this caffeinated treat is sure to warm you up!
4 . Hey Man by Oconee Brewing – If your family is like ours, there are some who prefer the lighter taste and Hey Man by Oconee Brewing won’t disappoint. This blonde is an approachable, easy drinking blonde ale. Light yellow in color. Low hop aroma and bitterness even grandma should be able to drink this one.
420 by Sweetwater Brewing – You can’t go wrong with 420 by Sweetwater. This brew is perhaps the grandfather of Georgia beer at this point and one of the most widely distributed. Its a good solid go to local beer when you’re not sure what people will want to drink.
So these are some of what we think would make a welcome addition to any Thanksgiving feast, what Georgia Beer are you planing to bring to your Thanksgiving table? Drop us a comment here or let us know on twitter
