Support Georgia Craft Beer – Help Pass SB 122!

Big news for Georgia’s craft beer industry! Senate Bill 122 (SB 122), the “Craft Beer and Local Economy Revitalization Act,” has been introduced to modernize outdated regulations and give small breweries more freedom to grow. Here’s what it does:

✅ Allows Self-Distribution – Small brewers could sell up to 3,000 barrels directly to retailers within 100 miles, reducing reliance on third-party distributors.

✅Lifts Retail Sales Limits – The 288-ounce daily cap for direct-to-consumer sales would be eliminated, though an annual cap of 6,000 barrels would remain.

✅ Supports Charitable Donations – Breweries and brewpubs could donate beer to charity events, making it easier to support local causes.

Why This Matters:

Georgia’s craft beer scene has been thriving, but restrictive laws have forced some small breweries to shut down. SB 122 would provide more flexibility, create jobs, and boost local economies.

How You Can Help:

📢 Contact Your Legislators – Call or email your state senator and representative to express support for SB 122. You can use the “Find My Representative” page: https://www.legis.ga.gov/find-my-legislator

📲 Spread the Word – Share this post and use hashtags #PassSB122#SupportGeorgiaBeer#CraftBeerFreedom to get more people involved.

Now is the time to stand up for independent breweries and the communities they serve! Let’s make Georgia a better place for craft beer.

Fortunately @rocksolidbrewingco had a couple left and I was able to make it there today for a pint of the Shamrocks & Shenanigans and a @gacraftbrewersguild Beer Day Glass. #drinklocalga #drinklocalbeer #gabeerguide

Spent a week in Amsterdam for my real job and disc Spent a week in Amsterdam for my real job and discovered this amazing stout by @twochefsbrewing (first it's awesome that they have such a vibrant and diverse brewery scene there, second it's awesome that you can buy single cans in the grocery for 2,50 euros).

We loved it so much that we were excited to find it in duty free at the airport on our way out. I wish they shipped to the US, I'd buy more.
