Now Is The Time: Shouting Fire in a Crowded Theater is a music project created to react to America’s current climate. It is present-day protest music that will help be the catalyst for changes that need to happen now. The time to act is now as America is on fire with generational poverty, racial divide, political complacency, and countless other issues. This eight-song compilation consists of 12 Athens Hip-Hop artists, two Athens poets, and six Athens- so the whole project is completely ATHENSCENTRIC. Athens is where the core of these issues runs rampant. Want to know what Hip-Hop America has to say about these issues plaguing America? Well, Now Is The Time: Shouting Fire in a Crowded Theater addresses these problems with an unapologetic-honest attitude. This project is presented by ATHfactor-Liberty Entertainment (ALE) in conjunction with the University of Georgia Willson Center for Humanities & Arts.
